I often read long articles, documentation pages, or blog posts and found myself constantly switching between tools to summarize or translate content.
I couldn’t find a Chrome extension that felt simple, privacy-friendly, and flexible enough, so I decided to build one as a side project.
The extension is called G-Context AI. It lets you:
- Summarize the current web page (short / medium / detailed)
- Select only a specific paragraph to summarize
- Translate summaries into another language
- Change tone (simple, professional, bullet points)
- Use text-to-speech for accessibility
It uses Google Gemini via a BYO API key (free tier works), and everything stays local — no tracking, no data collection.
I’m sharing it mainly to get honest feedback:
- Is this something you would actually use?
- Is the UI clear?
- Are there features you’d expect that are missing?
