RAN Engineer IV (System AdminDeveloper) – AT&T – Middletown, NJ

Overall Purpose: This position will work cross functionally with a variety of business units and directly be responsible for tools oversight and delivery. Responsible for the RAN Tools Roadmap (VoLTE/E911/RF Safety/CGSA/N11), design, sustainment and performance of the application life-cycle management of new or existing HQ RAN Tools. Additionally, responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and identifying solutions to problems through well-structured application of information technology. Through innovation identify new and emerging application develop and process improve techniques to help drive the business forward. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Capture and translate RAN business requirements into technical requirements. Support network change by guiding others or writing the code necessary to automate solutions, reports, scorecards or enhance existing products as necessary. Build/deploy tools using a variety of coding techniques. Provide guidance throughout application development process, to include LAB Testing, debug issues, perform quality checks and deploy fully vetted solutions to the production environment. Champion system provisioning tools, analyzes data quality, integrated solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems. Enable RAN Engineering to lead the implementation of special projects within the relevant space. Job Contribution: Expert level technical professional. Experience: 7-10 years of application development experience required. Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of HQ RAN Tools.

  • UNIX/Linux, Shell Scripting, Java, HTML, Toad, Tomcat Web Server, SQL, JOSN, Hadoop, Big Data analytics, data analytics and mapping tools · Knowledge of iTracker, Raptor, Quantum, Nova, iMaps, Fusion, PRISMS using technologies like Core Java, J2EE, SPRING, Hibernate , SOAP, Axis Web Services, JDBC, ORACLE · K nowledge of SDN (Software Designed Network), NOD (Network On Demand), Cloud and Domain 2.0 · Firm Understanding of API design, Web Services design/development (REST, SOA, etc.) · Understands Development, Build and Deployment processes such as Maven, SWM, Jenkins etc · Experience with Eclipse IDE and Java Programming Language Additional Requirements
